Strange bedfellows to say the least.

The Boogaloo movement has a new strategy
Members of the anti-government movement are calling for cooperation with left-wing groups that were once adversaries.

Members of the anti-government Boogaloo movement are adopting a new strategy to achieve the end of the US government, members tell Al Jazeera.

Adherents are calling for cooperation with left-wing organisations – previously considered adversaries by some in the Boogaloo – to foster a mass withdrawal from the political and economic systems overseen by the United States government.

What you need to know about ‘ghost guns’ Biden wants to regulateWhat is the ‘Boogaloo’ movement?Facebook bans hundreds of accounts tied to violent ‘Boogaloos’

Based on the political philosophy “agorism”, it aims to bleed the government of tax funds through a “Counter-Economy”, compliance with laws and mandates given by voters.

The desired result: the collapse of the US government through “death by a thousand cuts”.

The move marks a divide between the Boogaloo’s base that eschews government and white nationalist members who tried to stoke violence during last summer’s Black Lives Matter protests to start a new civil war.

Magnus Panvidya, a vocal Boogaloo member working to unite left- and right-wing anti-government groups, told Al Jazeera the “idea of Agora … that practice is very ubiquitous almost anyone you speak to” in the Boogaloo.

Panvidya identifies only as “anarchist”, but said his “actions and goals pull very heavily from agorism”.

Broadly, members of the group, called Boogaloo Bois, have “no issue with violating the law to accomplish what they’re doing”, he said, referring to the exchange of goods on grey markets without government oversight, which are “popping up” throughout Boogaloo networks to sell “equipment”. Tax evasion is encouraged, too.

    Rise in use
The Boogaloo movement made its mark over the summer of 2020, when men clad in Hawaiian shirts bearing AR-15-style guns began showing up at Black Lives Matter protests after the May 25 death of George Floyd.

The group attracted white nationalists that hoped the tumult of a nationwide protest movement could be harnessed to start a “Boogaloo” – a term for a second US Civil War born of online meme culture – that would devolve into a race war.

According to watchdog groups and Al Jazeera’s review of online forums and chat groups, those elements remain. But Panvidya says they were purged from the Boogaloo movement.

The Boogaloo movement is half “Libertarian with a big ‘L’”, referencing the political party that advocates for limited government and “then the rest of us are just a wide spread of different forms of anarchism”, Panvidya sad.
The Boogaloo movement is decentralised, making it difficult to gauge agorism’s popularity in the movement.

According to data tracked by the Social Media Analysis Toolkit (SMAT), a tool designed to track conversations and key terms across social media and messaging platforms, “agora” saw similar spikes across Telegram and Reddit since the Black Lives Matter protests began.

[IMG]SMAT tracking shows daily uses of ‘agora’ over time on encrypted chat app Telegram [SMAT]
Services used by the Boogaloo including social media platform MeWe, which is anti-censorship, and Keybase, an encrypted messaging service, are not tracked by SMAT.
    ADVERTISING
Panvidya attributes the broader rise in anarchist thought to political dissatisfaction in the US on both sides of the political spectrum.

“You got the Tea Party and Donald Trump on the right and then you got [Senator] Bernie Sanders and AOC [Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez] on the left. And then when that didn’t dramatically improve things … you saw people radicalise even further.

“Everyone wants their own CHAZ,” Panvidya continued, referring to the Capitol Hill autonomous zone, an area taken over by anti-racist protesters in Seattle during nationwide protests against police brutality.

[IMG]SMAT tracking shows daily uses of ‘agora’ over time on Reddit [SMAT]
“Building spaces that are autonomous from government influences is definitely growing within the movement and was the impetus of working with Anti-Fascist organisations,” Panvidya said.
    Right and Left
Panvidya wants cooperation. He invites left-wing activists to discuss issues via social media and has appeared on left-wing populist Jimmy Dore’s YouTube channel to discuss their similarities in beliefs, such as anti-racism and LGBT support.

    ADVERTISING
However, the ideological valley between left- and right-wing anarchists is deep. Both want a stateless society, but their methods of achieving it are opposed.

Anarcho-capitalists follow what many in the US would view as extreme libertarianism. They want all production and services privatised, with labour and markets intact.

Most left-wing anarchists view the end of wage labour and private ownership of certain goods as integral. They largely do not want “Counter-Economic” markets to be part of their route to end the state.
But Derrick Broze, an agorist who is working on a biography of Samuel Edward Konkin III, the man who created the ideology in the 1970s, told Al Jazeera that agorism was “born out of” a “desire to tap into both left and right”.

Broze explained that some left-wing anarchists allow for markets, and Konkin believed Counter-Economics would serve Feminist and Black Liberation movements.

Still, the ideology appeals more to “American Libertarians”, he said. While Broze does not view himself as an anarcho-capitalist, many agorists do.

Konkin’s ties to Murray Rothbard, a prominent libertarian, are also a concern for leftists and anti-racists.

Rothbard coined the term “anarcho-capitalism” and was founder of the Ludwig Von Mises Institute, which the Southern Poverty Law Center describes as “neo-Confederate”.

Konkin also served on the board of the Institute for Historical Review, known for Holocaust revisionism.

Broze said Konkin did not share those views and said it was an “unfair association”. Al Jazeera’s review of Konkin’s available writings did not find examples of racism or anti-Semitism, though it was not exhaustive.

According to a person working with the Anarchist media platform It’s Going Down (IGD), who asked for anonymity, these and other ideological divides, including support for far-right figures like Kyle Rittenhouse, the teen who shot anti-racist protesters in Wisconsin, make cooperation difficult between left-wing anarchists and the Boogaloo.

When asked if anti-fascist organisations are working with the Boogaloo the representative responded: “I would say, unequivocally, no.”

Panvidya points to Boooagloo presence at Black Lives Matter protests, notably in Louisville, where they say they have provided security for demonstrations around Breonna Taylor’s death.

The Boogaloo believes the story of their first martyr, Duncan Lemp, shares similarities with Taylor. Both were killed by police during no-knock raids. Lemp, reported to be associated with the Three Percenters militia, died March 12, 2020, in Potomac, Maryland, the day before Taylor was shot in Louisville.

Lemp was in bed when police fired on his home, his family and supporters claim, while police say shots were fired as officers approached (PDF).

Reece Chenault, an organiser with BLM Louisville, told Al Jazeera there has been no cooperation with the Boogaloo movement and claimed they are not present at demonstrations.

Regarding the Boogaloo’s moves to work with left-wing organisations, Chenault said he finds “it hard for left elements and right elements of the type that they are claiming to remain in the same organisation”.

Panvidya said the Boogaloo’s cooperation with other groups is “less about affiliation and what you call yourself” and more about “your ideology and what are you trying to accomplish … There’s some parts of the country where we work with BLM and we get into fistfights with Three Percenters on sight, and then there’s other places where the local BLM chapter hates us, and we work with local Three Percenters.”

He concluded: “The realm of acceptable ideas is a lot wider than a lot of people think.”

These self proclaimed anti government groups don't deserve the verbiage given here, but then your quoting al jazeera. The boogaloos, a mix of Latin, jazz, rock, with heavy tejano influences that became popular in New York in the 60s. " Although its origins are unclear, boogaloo originally referred to a rock-and-roll dance and music style especially popular among Latin American youth in New York City in the 1960s. The name boogaloo was adopted for a style of street dance that inspired the electric boogaloo in the 1970s, which is popularly associated with break dancing." The liberal media wants nothing more then to continue the division of the population of this nation. But don't think the liberals are at it alone.

Ask yourself, are you more American then Democrat, are you more American then Republican? Neither leaders for the Democrats nor leaders for the Republicans give a rat's ass for the people of America. Systematically this country is being weakened, both parties what you to believe it is the doing of the other. And that is the extent of effort to prevent the weakening of our way of life, our freedoms, our power over our government. The boogaloos, or any other halfass group has as much of a chance of overthrowing our government as did the morons of Jan. 6. The division of the people is in place, now fear, propaganda, and anarchy move to the fore front. History, has told this story, so pay no mind, it can't happen here, no need to give it further thought, believe as you are told.

BLM protesters take to the streets of Washington D.C.

    OAN Newsroom
    UPDATED 4:20 PM PT – Saturday, April 17, 2021

Hundreds of anti-police protestors took to the streets in Washington D.C. Friday night. This week, BLM protestors rioted in D.C., Brooklyn Center and Minneapolis following the death of Daunte Wright and amid the ongoing trial regarding the death of George Floyd.

Authorities said similar protests have gone on for days nationwide as many cities have had to block off streets as they’ve been swarmed with BLM protestors.

Meanwhile, protests in the streets of D.C. were expected to continue into the weekend.

The protests are comparable to the Summer of 2020, when Washington D.C. and cities across the country also exploded in protests after the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis.

Isnt there such a thing as a peaceful protest anymore, why does everything erupt in riots and destruction....why are democrats silent in the face of all this...
I could understand their approval when Trump was president, but know I think it would be in democrats best interest to put a stop to the mayhem they created and allowed to continue now that Biden is in.

Follow history, the populous has been divided, we are entering the fear, propaganda, anarchy phase.
The brown shirts, Germany opened the door for Hitler.
Can't think of it off the top of my head, but think it was called something like the black berets, did the same for Mussolini.
The same tactics, right back to Ceaser, and Rome.
Killary's hero Sal Lewinsky wrote of it, create chaos and anarchy, to the point people we beg anything to stop it. Only those who perpetuated it can stop it, filling the void in the power structure created by the chaos.
But you know us, Americans to busy with distractions, pandemics, social unrest, not to mention stimulus, pay little mind to the bigger picture, and things like the rest of the world.
It will add up, for most, at some point, but how much damage will be done, we are balls deep in it already. But hey, this is just my conspiracy theory of the day.

    LMFAO!!!

You're certainly making your mark around here as somebody who keeps posting with absolutely nothing to say - and I usually say that about people with empty arguments, not empty posts. This is the third post I've seen with nothing but five periods (an ellipses consists of three). I wonder if it's a mental deficiancy - maybe you keep posting stuff and then regretting it, or you think this makes some kind of obtuse 'statement'.

Head on, dude - as moronic as I think it is, I'm kind of amused by the stupidity.

Rep. McCarthy accuses Rep. Waters of ‘inciting violence’ over comments to protesters in Minn.

    OAN Newsroom
    UPDATED 11:25 AM PT – Monday, April 19, 2021

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) said Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) is inciting violence.

In a tweet on Sunday, McCarthy warned if House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) does not act against “this dangerous rhetoric,” then he will.

This came as Waters is taking heat for telling BLM protesters to be “more confrontational” if Derek Chauvin is acquitted.

McCarthy is pledging to take action against Waters as early as this week.

Speaking to the media on Saturday, Walters had said that if Chauvin was found not guilty for murdering Floyd, "We've got to stay on the street and we've got to get more active, we've got to get more confrontational. We've got to make sure that they know that we mean business."

Detroit police chief slams Rashida Tlaib: 'I'd love to see her resign'

Police Chief James Craig went after Rep. Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich., after her latest call for "no more policing" in the wake of 20-year-old Daunte Wright's death after a police traffic stop in Minnesota

Tlaib has faced a mounting backlash after calling for an end to "policing, incarceration, and militarization" – the latest in a long string of controversial comments from the sophomore congresswoman.

"She's reckless," Craig told Fox 2 Detroit on Sunday. "I'd love to see her resign. I'd throw her a goodbye party."

"Who is she speaking for?" he continued. "When you talk about abolishing police, incarceration, when you talk about safe cities – what do you think the residents in Detroit want? I know. I speak with them."

Some of Tlaib's fellow Democrats, including Sen. Tim Kaine, D-Va., distanced themselves from her "no more policing" tweet last week.

"It wasn't an accident. Policing in our country is inherently [and] intentionally racist. Daunte Wright was met with aggression [and] violence. I am done with those who condone government funded murder. No more policing, incarceration, and militarization. It can't be reformed," Tlaib wrote on Twitter on April 12.

Craig also condemned Rep. Maxine Waters, D-Calif., for telling protesters in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, to "get more confrontational" if Derek Chauvin isn't convicted of murdering George Floyd.

"I will not let someone like a Tlaib or a Maxine Waters paint our profession with a broad brush. Are you aware of what the other U.S. rep said as recent as yesterday? You know what she said in response to Brooklyn Center? ... Get more confrontational," Craig said.

***I wonder if any of the Village troll hack fuck leftists will condemn such language from the radical leftist in Congress that represent their political party

L.A. County sheriff concerned protesters won’t be deterred by DA’s progressive policies

    OAN Newsroom
    UPDATED 11:40 AM PT – Sunday, April 18, 2021

With cities once again seeing an uptick in demonstrations and protests, Los Angeles is gearing up for another round of potential violence in the city.

That has L.A. County Sheriff Alex Villanueva worried, as he said he believes it’s going to be a “big problem” that rioters believe they won’t face prosecution for their actions. This he added, is all due to District Attorney George Gascon.

In March, a county prosecutor accused Gascon of playing politics after he was reprimanded for questioning Gascon’s order to drop a case against three anti-police protesters.

Villanueva further illustrated Gascon’s refusal to uphold the laws of the county, saying when he was presented with a dozen cases of solicitation for prostitution, Gascon dismissed them all. He said by not following up on his job, he’s basically legalized prostitution in Los Angeles.

“There’s so many consequences to the decisions he’s making,” Villanueva stated. “They’re very far-reaching, and I think the public is just now starting to understand that. Yes, there is consequence when you start eliminating consequences for the criminal community.”

Villanueva added he’s only spoken to Gascon once since he took office in December, saying Gascon issues directives from his office and expects the world to go along with it.

He added there are places where the criminal justice system can be fixed, but it needs to be done properly by incorporating all the stakeholders and state legislators.

However, Villanueva said Gascon is learning. In February, a judge ruled in favor of the county, saying he can’t order his prosecutors to ignore laws put in place to protect the public.

Three L.A. County cities have already approved votes of no confidence in the DA’s special directives, with a fourth considering doing the same.

This year, Gascon issued directives seeking to eliminate cash bail for misdemeanors and non-serious felonies, dismissing misdemeanor charges for things like trespassing, disturbing the peace or resisting arrest, and eliminating sentencing enhancements, including gang enhancements and bail violations.

“We want him to be successful but it can’t come at the expense of public safety, at the expense of victims of crime, and that’s where I have to draw that firm line in the sand,” Villanueva said.

Los Angeles is seeing an jump in violent crimes this year, with recent reports showing a 186 percent increase in murders.

Villanueva blamed progressive policies and movements to defund the police in the Democrat run city as contributing factors to the increased violence.

Another riot declared in Portland, Ore.

    OAN Newsroom
    UPDATED 10:50 AM PT – Sunday, April 18, 2021

Another riot was declared in Portland, Oregon as fires were lit outside businesses, including an Apple store.

Police reported a group of several hundred marched through downtown Friday night “vandalizing and looting.”

This particular riot followed the police-involved shooting of a man who was reportedly pointing a gun in a Portland park.

“The officers arrived and they contacted a person in the park related to this call,” Deputy Chief Chris Davis of the Portland Police Bureau stated. “At some point during this interaction, both less lethal and lethal force were deployed by the officers.”

Friday marked the third time in five days a riot has been declared in Portland, as unrest continues across the country.

Police declare unlawful assembly at Brooklyn Center in Minn

    OAN Newsroom
    UPDATED 7:10 AM PT – Sunday, April 18, 2021

Police declared an unlawful assembly during the sixth night of protests outside the Brooklyn Center police headquarters in Minnesota. On Saturday, authorities said 136 people were arrested Friday night in connection with the demonstration.

“Their actions dictate our response, and our response is to keep this city safe and the police department safe,” Sheriff David Hutchinson of the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office stated.

In a joint press conference, Operation Safety Net said approximately 500 people gathered around the center. Officials explained the situation became disorderly as protesters began to shake the barricade and throw objects at officers, including rocks and soup cans.

Following several orders from law enforcement and National Guard members to disperse, officers were forced to use crowd control measures including tear gas and flash-bangs.

“If we want change in policing, we want reform in policing, let’s do that, let’s get together and start reform,” Hutchinson said. “The profession, this profession needs help. We can admit that, we’re not perfect, we can be better. But these people are not people that you should be supporting.”

Friday night marked the sixth consecutive night of demonstrations at the police headquarters following the death of 20-year-old Duante Wright, who was fatally shot during a traffic stop.

Authorities emphasized they did not want to use any force, as several city officials and community organizers continue to call for peace.

“So I’m here to say please stay peaceful, and the people who are intent on causing harm, you’re going to find yourself where you are tonight, in the Hennepin County Jail,” Hutchinson stated.
