I mean I don’t disagree or wish to disrespect photoshop or anything . What works…works
I understand that hairstyles etc are hard to replicate from the past - however the face (and one presumes the hair ) are the only original part of the deepfake. So anyone from anytime , with that face applied to the right body , may make a decent photo-realistic new image .
Now I’ve played with modern folk. No issues of history , but even I’ve found that the best AI only works if you find a base image / model that facially resembles the person you wish to deepfake.
As I say , it’s a research based project but when it marries up, the results can be stunning
